Traveling is not an easy affair. It is costly, requires planning, time consuming, tiring and not always pleasant to travel alone. Traveling does more to your soul than for your memories or Instagram profile. Here are some personal reasons to ‘Why I travel?’
For the view you can’t have in your bed
Well the title gave it away. You just can’t have that scene brought to you. No ultra 4k can ever give you that immersive experience; they just cannot be captured digitally. Those scene get better with every single glance and you can never have enough of it. Well, its just another mountain from another angle. What so special about those scene anyway? This is not the question I am urging you to ask me to make my case. I asked myself when I was broken down from climbing those steep death defying slopes.
Why not to just return from here? I already had a good view and took some cool pictures; I was in pain, tired, thirsty, hungry and still have to save energy for the return trip. Well I am glad I didn’t succumbed and kept going and got my answer why not to give up. After all, you cannot learn not giving up in your bed, can you?

Call of adventure
There is always something intriguing with a place you never been to. This mystique call everyone, there is nothing special there, special is when someone answer her call. Now you come to a world you’ve only heard about in article and pictures. Knowing the place is something but experiencing it, is whole new adventure. You will soon get your answers once you answer that call of adventure. Its a adventure where you leave your footprints and carry the memory with your soul.
Realization of Mortality
More I traveled more I’ve come to realize my mortality. We all have limited time here. Juxtapose knowing and realizing this fact and you will understand why I am writing an article about it. This is the crux of this article. Some treacherous trek might make you come face to face with your maker or it might not. Point is once you realize your mortality you become different flavor of yourself. You may become more efficient with your time, or may start to appreciate little things more, you might learn to balance patience and sense of urgency or you might feel life is futile anyways and just enjoy your time. Coming to this realization is I believe is onerous. All your precious memories of your travel will fade with time as will you fade from this world.
I guess there are many ways to come to this realization. But realizing this while traveling was sure a cool way to do it.
See you down the road!
